In contrast to all the characters in this show who are office workers and otakus, Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken focuses on the relationship between an otaku husband, and his working office wife. The shows are similar thematically. Both shows explore relationships in a comedic light showing the transition of the character/s as otakus into young professionals, how they maintain their old and new identities, and the meanings of growing up. They're both amusing series about otakus' daily life.
{Danna ga Nani} is super short (3 mins each ep) so the main focus is comedy, and {Wotakoi} is longer so you see some romance there.
If you've watched enough anime/ read manga before or are familiar with the Otaku world you're likely to have a good laugh & enjoy both series.
• both has Otaku characters.
• both are adults characters unlike typical high school anime.
• Mature Humour
• working related.
• best for casual watch.
Both Danna ga Wakaranai and Wotakoi explore established adult romantic relationships in a funny but realistic way that appeals to me as someone who wants likeable characters who are (unlike 90% of anime characters) past highschool age. Both are about otaku in love.
