Both series where the main characters have obstacles to overcome and work hard towards a goal.
If you like to see characters grow and develop you like both series.
I was quite surprise to see that these two anime weren't the top recommendations of each other, as they're practically the same thing but with a different focus (boxing/manga).
Both anime follow the same story structure about youth growing larger in their desired fields and striving for their goals/dreams. Also, both anime utilise a very similar romance between the heroine and protagonist, that has this charming and heartwarming feel to it. Onward, both anime have similar comedy, that drives a viewer away from the drama to have them chuckling/laughing at the silly things the character do.
