They very much remind me of each other, not because their humor is very similar but because they have the same way of spitting at klichés. They both deviate from what is "classic" anime comedy, and both does so brilliantly.
Both take place in the school, the drawing style of the backgrounds is quite similar, though the humour is different.
I'm not sure if you enjoyed Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu then you will enjoy SZS and vice versa, but if you like school and comedy, i'm pretty sure you'll like them both.
