Episodic comedies that are filled by dark humor and satirical joke, although Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei take it in a more extreme way while Kaguya-Sama take it in a light way and is more a romantic comedy. The way Ishigami was presented also remind me the protagonist of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Both are episodic, comedy anime that are directed by shaft staff members (even if in kaguya sama's case its just the director who was a staff member), to me, the biggest difference is how they use the episodic nature to their advantage and zetsubou sensei surely does that much better than kaguya sama while also being a great comedy, i really recommend it if you enjoyed this type of episodic comedy anime.

Kaguya-sama might not seem similar at first glance with this dark comedic, harem-like satire.
In practice: both feature direction of Shaft's unique style (undestandably, since Kaguya-sama's director participated in the direction of Arakawa and Madoka Magica) and are quite episodic (though Sayonara Zetsubou takes both to extremes), while having catchy opening and ending themes.
Plus, they are character-driven shows and have psychological elements, but played for laughs rather than drama.
