Both anime have a chaotic, disjointed plot, are set in a cyberpunk setting, and have both a similar main characters (a silent, black haired male and a mysterious female), with Ichise most likely taking some elements from Killy. Main difference is that Texhnolyze's plot starts to make more sense as the anime advances, while Blame remains confusing because the anime is a series of chapters randomly taken from the manga.
