The two are very similar: There is the modification of bodies with machinery, there is a higher 'other city' that is supposed to be paradise, a character whose backstory is mysterious is the main character, the themes of despair in an uncivilized society are strong in both, the color palettes are nearly identical.

Both start off with the main character getting found by a doctor and having their body modified, which makes them stronger and causes them to get involved in the conflicts involving their town. Bleak cyberpunk settings where people are always getting their heads or limbs removed, with one better place to live located above the city.
