Both series deal with supernatural events with very mystical ways, without exaggerating its effects with spectacular SFX effects. While Kara no Kyoukai mostly deals with murders with a very dark theme, Bakemonogatari deals with phenomenon involving students. Both series also involves main characters with special powers and mentor-like characters that help the main ones.
Both deal with supernatural events that affect people. Kara no Kyoukai has a darker nature while Monogatari is more eccentric.
Both are shows about solving supranatural problems caused by mystical entities that have connection with client's feelings and emotions. While KnK has darker tone, Monogatari are more comedic (even though sometimes it can be dark too). Both are also well directed by amazing studios (Ufotable and Shaft).
