Both are ecchi/harem anime where the main guy goes to a unique school after the loss of someone close to him.
I'd absolutely (see what I did there) recommend one if you enjoyed the other.
-Magical school with Male MC (same voice actor, even which is a +)
-magical battles
-ecchi/harem type
-comedy elements mixed with action
Similar idea- MC joins special school to try and gain power so they can avenge/rescue lost family member, meets girls along the way, fights it out.
- Both MC's are "irregular" at their respective schools
- Both are superpower, harem, action genre
- Both MC's are called dense and perverts in misunderstandings

Both main characters have a unique power
Both anime have the harem genre
Both main characters have a favorite out of the girls that surround him
And both main characters are A LOT more powerful than anyone else in the series
This anime is like a Swiss Army Knife - it's got a little bit of everything. Magic, comedy, and plenty of ecchi. But don't let that fool you - it's also got some seriously badass fight scenes and a great story to boot.

Gaining power. Absolute Duo and Trinity Seven are both harem anime which follow the protagonists seeking for strength after someone dear was taken from them.
With Absolute Duo Tooru is a special case of Blazers, the irregular, who is paired up with Julie in which the aim to have to strength to avenge their fallen loved ones. Trinity Seven shows Arata in the same situation, only he is with a harem.
Both are a simple anime in which shows the journey of a 'special one' achieving strength along with their companies although Trinity Seven is more for the ecchi tastes.

These two had same bland personality of main lead male toward the girls, get random powers with not much explanations why that shit choose you, and had same action plot to protect the girls, then become a hero asap. Simple.
As a story development, i may suggest T7 because this show had more continuations ,against ADuo. Since ADuo itself never get the development in the future. But, if you need other reference for other girls, or other blatantly male character, my recommendations maybe good for you.
A harem show with school as it's setting and magic as it's power system.
Both of these show centered more on the main character as he seeks more power to protect those who he holds dear. The action scenes in here are generic, but they're quite entertaining if you're into sum fanservice in the middle of a battle.
