Both have comedy and action/adventure and both are supernatural in nature and contain yokai(japanese monster/spirits commonly mistranslated as demons),but Ushio and Tora is set in the modern world and the monsters are invisible to most people. Inuyasha is set in a fantasy world where the spirits are visible and also has some romance, which Ushio and Tora doesn't have. Ushio and Tora is also alot more episodic than Inuyasha.
