Girl messes up with the main character's life and pushes him around.
Try to set up the protagonist to have a girlfriend and from there the story progresses.
Watching one after the other will fill the void of what the other left empty.
Manipulation. Bottom-Tier and School Days may not seem particularly similar, but they play the same cards, just presented differently.
In both, there is a manipulative girl who bends the male MC to what she believes is best, almost to the point of controlling their life. You can also see how Tomozaki and Makoto grow relationships with females to some ridiculous degree from how they first start out. School Days is more dramatic in this case than the light-hearted comedy Bottom-Tier.

Yes this weird, but I’ll say it regardless. Im also surprised no-one has spotted this yet, but my Sixth Sense keeps nagging me about the similarities between these two anime. I mean, the plots involve the MC getting a girlfriend with the help of another girl with the plots ‘developing’ from that point on. Simply put if you were disappointed by this seasons Bottom Tier Tomozaki’s horrible attempt at a highschool romance drama and wanted some ‘real’ development, School Days is the perfect anime for you.
