Tired of watching ordinary detective shows? Well then, these series should keep your mind serene for the time being. More than just your typical detective series, the mixture of excellent action scenes and fine comedy followed by a robust storyline is not only eye catching but worthy of attention.
‘Kekkai Sensen’ places its focal point in a city where the diversity of species is nothing short of palpable. Aside from the strong plot and exemplary music, the character interaction in-between dying situation is something to be applaud whether it’s comedy or something crucial. For anyone who is in possession of a godlike ability, this

Same aesthetic and theme with identical plot point of a kid getting recruited by an organization dealing with strange cases due to his powers. However, Kekkai Sensen has a superior execution, while Bungou Stray Dogs will be easier to follow.

Both series have the same comedy-drama mixed atmosphere and the characters are pretty similiar too. In both anime, a young boy joins to an organisation where everyone has superpower.

- The main characters in both shows are pursued for the powers they have. They also cannot fully control their powers so they must find other means to be helpful.
- The animation style has a similar feel to it.
- The choice of music seem alike.
same vibe
the red line in the story is different , but it feels a lot the same
both are about a boy joining an supernatural organisation.
Same kind of humor. Same concept of supernatural/freakishly strong people banding together and forming an organization to save/protect the world + clueless MC who's just joined the organization and appears weak but has some sort of power.
Both involve a bunch of misfits with supernatural powers banding together to investigate supernatural phenomena. Both have quirky characters with unusual powers. The protagonists are straight charaters caught in a group of weirdos. Both employ a similar style of slapstick comedy with ludicrous situations and exaggerated expressions. Action scenes in both are very stylish. Bungou Stray Dogs is heavier on comedy though.
Both involve an organisation of whimsical characters with supernatural powers in which the protagonist happens upon and subsequently joins them. Very similar animation and atmosphere.

Both series are about a group of people with supernatural powers, that we get introduced to through the main character, a new member in the group. The humour and soundtrack are similar, and both are gorgeously animated.
They are people under an organization with supernatural powers whose mission to seize out the supernatural disturbance.

- Both has MC's who are targeted for their powers...
- In both, those MC's are recruited by similar organizations because of their unique abilities/ and for their own safety...[ being rare is not so bad ]
- Both bad guys and good guys also has superpowers/abilities for fighting each other..
- Both has similar type of comedy....even drama is similar, way to similar...
- Action take place in some kind of island [ Kekkai Sensen island is kinda isolated by supernatural stuff, and Bungou's island is kinda free(?)
- Both cartoons are done by Bones studio. --- pfff....one of the worst studios with KyoAni... [ fanboy's will eat me

The two shows follow an agency/organization where it's members have supernatural abilities and they are trying to keep the area around them safe. Both start off with the main protagonist accidentally getting recruited by their respective organizations because of their unique abilities. Kekkai Sensen deals more in a scifi spectrum of aliens and monsters, while Bungou Stray Dogs follows a group of super powered humans who are references to literary figures. Both are enjoyable in my opinion overall.
- organization with supernatural powers
- Bizarre world
- jazzy style
- Mystery
- lovely colors
A kid with a very powerful ability is taken in by an organization of gifted individuals. The individuals include a whole host of over-the-top quirky characters, while the MC is a somewhat timid young boy who is constantly targeted for his powers. Both anime start out a little episodic while we are introduced to the rest of the large cast, before something of a plot emerges. The MC also tries to save a girl caught in a bad situation in both cases. Both anime are sporadically action-packed and comedic.

-MC is shy and normal at first glance, but has a special ability with growing potential
-generally funny and lighthearted, but when the action kicks in prepare for badassery
-similar direction and presentation, same animation studio

Both series give off the same feeling and almost the same plot. It is just that Bungou Stray Dogs give a lighter feel, maybe because Kekkai Sensen involves different types of characters (aliens, vampires and etc.) and darker ambiance. Aside from that, the humor in both series are really hilarious.

Both the anime have people with super powers forming an organisation.
The main character is not overpowered but has a great ability with a great scope to increase his power.
Better realized version of Kekkai Sensen and basically better in everything - Bungou Stray Dogs.
Both Anime are done by Bones studio.
Both anime feature a wide array of colorful characters with an under-powered protagonist.
Both anime have a jazzy style.

In my opinion, they both have the same 'being protected' theme.
They both have a main character with special power.
The Main Character are both male.
They both were being protected by an organization
The anime are both supernatural and slightly mysterious
They both have great action.
Both animes are similar in the action, drama and comedy. They both present a weak MC at the beginning who decided to join a righteous agency and get stronger by the time.
-A young boy with unique supernatural ability joining a detective agency/organization where everyone also has supernatural ability
-Both Main characters are targeted for their powers
-Both anime are done by Bones studio
-Similar humour and soundtrack
-Similar art
They have the same story "a young boy with unique ability joining a detective agency". They also have the supernatural fights and comedy that won't let you get bored. They are both great and i recommend the two of them
they have main characters that have powers that some people want to take from them or powers that are very extraordinary and these main characters are in these organizations that fight crime and have members with special abilities . The only difference is that kekkai sensen setting take place in world where humans and monsters coexist .
Kekkai Sensen and Bungou Stray Dogs both involve a boy joining a detective agency that consist of individuals with supernatural powers. The art style, humor, tone and feel of both anime are pretty similar, and both anime happen to be animated by Bones as well! However, Bungou Stray Dogs is on a completely different level compared to Kekkai Sensen. If you liked Kekkai Sensen, you’ll love Bungou Stray Dogs. The other way around does not work, however.

just read the other ones i cba about writing another one
this is mainly for increasing the number of recommendations for these two so
A bunch of superpowered people fighting other superpowered people in one mess of a city. Comedy-heavy and both don't take themselves tooo seriously, though they will if needed.
They both have main characters with powers that are considered "unique." They are also both inside an organization that protects the protagonist and the city in secrecy. Both are also rather episodic, especially in their first seasons.

The plot and 'craziness' is very similar. However, the mood they give off are very different; kekkai sensen (BBB) is much more raw, while Bungou stray dogs feels like a shounen.

- Both have organizations fighting
- Leonard and Atsushi are very similar
- Both the characters I mentioned above are rely on their organization members
- Both have the same vibe going for them
- Both are mysterious
- I could constantly relate and connect a lot of the scenes from Kekkai Sensen to BSD.
Both of the series are similar as they involve an organisation that solves cases and both are quite comical and otherworldly.
While Bungou Stray Dogs is more focused on mysteries,
Blood Blockade Battlefront is more action packed, crazy, and mystical.

-If you're looking for an anime that rather with "unserious" plot then this is for you
-No heavy storyline
-Both are action and comedy focused
-Very good animations since both series are produced by studio BONES
-Decent cast of character
-Bungo Stray Dogs: The series follows the members of the "Armed Detective Agency" as they try to protect Yokohama from the mafia.
