Both are series about uh, band guys falling in love with each other. Incidentally, in both most characters have complex networks of relationships and at least some sort of back story, that may or may not be tragic.
While Given is clearly superior in my opinion, Gravitation gives off a lot of the same vibes for me. They both have a plot filled with music, and of course, the fluff-filled shounen-ai you're looking for ;) Given focuses on four characters, but as Gravitation mainy focuses on two, it feels like the story spans over a longer period of time.

Given is clearly superior for my favoritism, but I really liked Gravitation in its own way, I entertained both, laughed and generally had a good time.
Similarities:
- Both have a plot filled with music.
- In Both yaoi / shounen ai, there is at least one character with a past secret that the couple tries to discover and helps to overcome with one's unconscious / conscious actions.
Someone who contradicts me but I did not feel anything clichéd to Gravitation in general, all the time believing that one thing would happen, another more realistic happens or in any case, more unexpected xD many times for having extravagantly
