Undeniably similar humor with a school setting. Both series mainly consists of a string humorous situations. While Nichijou hasn't really got much of a story to speak of, School Rumble has more development both in terms of story and characters, although still not very noticeable. If you liked one of them, you will surely enjoy the other.
Both have a similar element of randomness to them. Both can easily go over the top (in a good way). Both are about "slice of life" school days. Lots of fun and laughs in each!
Same slapstick comedy, though more School Rambo is focused on romantic comedy. One of the main characters (Kanji) becomes a manga artist...
