- Both main characters are being chased by the government.
- They have been treated in a very cruel and unjust way at some point.
- They're not exactly positive characters.
- Both of them are 'superior' to most other people - Nine is supersmart, while Kei has superhuman abilities.
- There are terrorists/weapons/riots/bombs and stuff.
- Both anime contain violence, blood, murder.
- They have similar music.
- And they really give off a similar feel in general. Also, there are some really emotional moments.
Both are about some sort of terrorism and a showing corruption in a high developed country. Also, both have extraordinary character but with a deep humanity.
While Ajin is more frontal on the cause of terrorism, Zankyou no Terror is a bit more mysterious throughout the storytelling. It's also more melancholic and contemplative.
To me, both are an approach on the same kind of problematic.
Both stories are about group of people braking law and the government which tries to stop them. In both anime we see both main characters' perspective and perspective of the group/government which tries to stop them. Also both of them have amazing soundtrack and breaking moments. Finally, ZoT are amazingly written stories which you can't stop watching until you finish them.
