Both shows are about high school students making bishoujo games and the project leader is an otaku who recruits students that don't know much about the otaku culture to work on it. The biggest difference is that in Saekano, the lead guy is the otaku, while in Shokomeza, the lead girl is the otaku.

Both anime are similar to eachother in terms of making an bishoujo game. They each have an otaku (the guy in Saekano and the girl in Shoujo-tachi) recruiting other high school students to make the game together. The characters from both shows also share similar personalities. If you liked Saekano, there's a chance you might like Shoujo-tachi as well.

Girls Beyond the Wasteland (Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu) and Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (Saenai Heorine no Sodatekata) are very similar anime, sharing the goal of completing a game, while recruiting members and forming relationships. Both Saekano and Shoujo-tachi are centralized around the process of creating Japanese Bishōjo games, giving you insight on the development, with interesting characters and an engaging plot. Characters are VERY similar, regarding development, appearance, interest, and personality. I would recommend Saekano to anybody who's watched Shoujo-Tachi, and vice-versa, because they're very similar shows without being an exact replica, while each character is refreshing and interesting despite their similarities. - Both has Tsundere's / Kuudere's/ Dandere's/ but don't have yandere's [ omg thank you creators ] -Both have similar game or anime creation theme.... -OP's are nice...no doubt (pop sucks) -SLOWPACED....ehhhh....like, for real, they're slow as snails... -Jokes/funny scenes in these two animes are hilarious AF.... - Harem..Harem...Harem... + generic romcom character designs & personalities...

In Saekano, the protagonist got an idea to create a game after meeting the "heroine" IRL, he patterned the game heroine to her. In Shoujo-tachi, Sayuki asks Buntarou to be the writer. In some sense, Buntarou is same as the main char in Saekano being a writer.

I was basically similar in plot settings and role of characters, except in one was a complete reversal of the other, where the guy gets drafted into the girl's money making enterprise, where the other one was the usual guy leading them girls into his money making ventures.

Similar story and character.

Both shows have basically one main goal: making game software of some sort. Some of the main characters are both shows are into otaku culture, while others are not and are simply along for the ride. Many of the main characters also share very similar personalities; for example, in both shows, there is a main character who is cold and says only what is on her mind when necessary. The premise is also very similar, with both shows centering around a group of high school students.
