While these shows seem to be completely different in premise, both are including despicable characters who make bad choices, which leads to catastrophic conclusion. Overall, both shows will leave you depressed and emotionally broken.
both feature karma happening to the bad guys at the end of the day.

Dismal. With the change in life, it may often make those feel negative emotion, to the point where one decides to act on this fate-changing impulse. Hell Girl and School Days are in the same boat with such a case.
Hell Girl does this with a mass magnitude of people doing bad stuff to the point where one wants this individual to go to hell. School Days does this with a love story that finds itself with anything but love.
Both are great psychological anime that knows of no happy end to anyone involved in what goes down. Or in other words, everyone gets what they deserve.
