Both shows are quite short and funny. They both fit into the parody/comedy genre, so if you like shows like Gintama, Konosuba, and The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, you will enjoy these shows!

Both are very bizarre and has weird humor. They both have weird and out there humor, but FLCL has some serious parts, and an actual plot unlike Pop Team Epic. Also, if you're a fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, you'll like FLCL, as both of them are made by the same company.
