Cenco is similar to Canti in that they both transform and absorb the protagonists. One could argue that they also acquire strength from the protagonists. Moreover, the animation style is similar in both, featuring jerky yet detailed movements.

You'll wonder "what the hell is this?" while watching both.
Bizarre monsters/creatures, some action, and no real plot.
They share almost the same level of weirdness and randomness, and highly similar animation, style, and mood.

Through the entirety of FLCL and Cencoroll you will consistently be asking yourself two questions "What am I watching?" and "What the hell is going on?". That aside however these two shows do not share much in common, it's mainly the whole trying to figure out what point each show is trying to get across. Unfortunately I, myself am still scratching my head at what these shows were about but that's not to say they aren't enjoyable. For that is the beauty of both shows and what would make me recommend a viewer of either one to the other. FLCL is a 6

Both have similar vibes and don't bother to explain what is happening, they agree on several elements such as the alien-influenced plot, the duo of protagonists and both Canti and Cenco do not speak and have a mostly unknown origin, however they are very human, both they are the source of their respective protagonist's powers.
