Clannad: After Story

Both series are technically solid, though plot and character-wise, they are sub-par.
Both series have one purpose: To prey on your emotion and to make you cry.
Although both series are rather different (Elfen Lied is ten times more violent and gory than anything Clannad will ever be,) but both series' do a good job of pulling at your heartstrings. If you enjoy a good cry and a heartwarming story, then definitely check it out.

May seem like a stretch on the surface, but Clannad After Story and Elfen Lied does have an interesting tale proposed when thinking about the sweet things in life that go away every so slowly.
Over the course of a grand lifetime. Tomoya and Lucy partner with their respective candidate in finding the simple answers to the world that was so hard on them.
Elfen Lied's action and psychology are drastically different from Clannad AS's dramatic tone, however.
