Looking for gratuitous violence that doesn't always take itself seriously, dark humor, and interesting takes on characterization? These shows have it all.
Baccano's bloody psychological thriller is both a mix of raw storyline genius and excitement; making it the match for Elfen Lied. A hidden story full of plots and questions, that moves the viewer towards the edge of their seat, only adding to the interrogation for their horrifically stained strain of events.
Both of these shows tend to feature someone being gruesomely murdered, and then a quick cut to something extremely cheery.
Well, both anime are quite unique. It seems that authors didn't care about blood scenes at all. Let's face it Baccano is about killing in every possible way with as much pain as you can imagine and EL has so many dead bodies, blood, vilolence and even a dead innocent puppy (damn c*ck suckers !!) that comparing it with diffrent anime than Baccano is almost impossible. If you are into S&M and wanna learn how to kill slowly but extramely painfully try out these anime cuz they are as wicked as an anime can get. ( I didn't say any word that I didn't enjoy
