• Story centred around a character who is half human half devil.
• Human vs Devil is somewhat the main concept in both of this anime.
• Both the anime doesn't shy away from showing raw brutality.
• Both the action thriller heavily explore the inner psych of our MC.
In both series, the MCs have merged with a non-human creature - a Parasite (later named Migi) in case of Shinichi and the Chainsaw Devil (nicknamed Pochita) in case of Denji. Both the creatures fully merged with them during a life-or-death situation. Initially, Migi had only taken over Shinichi's right hand, but at some point to save his life from a fatal injury, it merged with his heart by donating some of it's own cells. On the other hand, Denji had already died before Pochita literally BECAME his heart to resurrect him. The MCs then have to fight against other creatures of the same kind
