Elements of this series were similar to Baccano.
Both deal with what it is to be human and what one does with power and near-invincibility (ability to regenerate).
Both are dark and have nice battle/action scenes.
Ken reminds me of Czeslaw, especially in the level of initial innocence, being tortured for no apparent reason and then "snapping" mentally/emotionally and loosing that innocence and trust.
Jason = Ladd, both are blond, have very little back story, wear white, are built similar, and enjoy torturing people.
Touka = a mixture of Ennis and Nice, being very strong but having forced restraint and being awkward around those they love.
