Romance is approached very differently in anime movies compared to anime series. I find that romance anime movies benefit from tighter narratives because emotion is better realized without having many subplots. Bubble and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time demonstrates this point perfectly. Both movies use sci-fi plot devices so that the main characters can discover their romantic feelings in the third act.

both are romanced themed stories as well as both sharing sci fi elements in it and also nice to look at art and character designs.
