I only recommend these two animes because of one thing.
Both animes are emotional rollercoasters!
They both include real emotions that shine in all the characters.
They also have great songs that people will listen to again and again.
However:
Clannad is a supernatural school life anime that solves life issues
While, Death Parade is a psychological mystery anime filled with games after death.
Acknowledge. Clannad and Death Parade may seem far apart on a superficial surface, but further down, both have the same central storytelling of MCs understanding the people around them.
Clannad follows wasteful Tomoya and his fateful encounter with Nagisa, bringing forward a whole voyage of going through different heroines and what they have to offer in how people act. DP follows a straightforward Decim and his encounter with the black-haired lady, which too, brings more knowledge he is devoid of about humans.
Both are good anime with Clannad being a supernatural romance, DP being dark psychology based upon games.
