Love has no boundaries. Say I Love You and Clanand both feature a cynical MC outcasting themselves only to come and befriend another who has some interest one way or another.
Say I Love You follows cynical Mei creating relations with a popular Yamato. Clannad follows pessimistic Tomoya and strange Nagisa building relationships after he had nothing else to do with his life.
Both are good romance drama about people gaining a little more faith in life.
