Both shows have cute girls that are in a working environment which mostly focuses on the character interactions and moe part rather than the work itself. The shows are really similar but just with a different work environment.
Cute girls in a work environment. Both are slice-of-life comedies that begin with the MC first starting her job. There is an age difference between the two, as the characters in New Game! are actually adults, but the MC looks like she could fit right in with the girls in GochiUsa. The shows focus on character interactions, cuteness, and comedy. Both are great choices if you're in the mood for something lighthearted.
Both anime is in a workplace setting (New game is in a game dev company while GochiUsa is in a cafe setting)
Both anime starts with the main character first joining the workplace (Aoba and Cocca) and adapting to their new environment.
Both anime features a relatively shy and quiet character (Hifumi and Chino) who slowly opens up to the main character and the rest of the cast
