Love stage was amazing in the way it broke some of the yaoi anime stereotypes and from a genre which at the time was either very stale or very problematic in its portrayal of MLM romance this show was a breath of fresh air which paved the way for yaoi to be more than just pandering fetish anime. and that's why i'm recommending Given as a follow up watch. whatever problematic elements Love Stage!! still had from its predecessors are scrubbed clean in this show.
