Both have bizarre comedy, take place in Dojo though one of the leads is a part time singer. The romance is different though both very slap stick Chou has a lead romantic couple while Ranma has two people who like each or but just don't get along. Ranma is a gender bender hes a male who turns back and forth from female. The lead girl in Chou just dresses up as a boy at school. Chou Kuse ni Narisou is sometimes refer too as the female version of Ranma 1/2.
