similarly, the anime has a relatively normal guy (who wants nothing to do with these shenanigans) that gets dragged into an extreme, usually funny, and usually non linear situations (as in all episodes do not lead a straight line into the ending's plot. see: hinamatsuri (which i recommend too, same reason), and nichijou as opposed to tokyo ghoul re 2nd season (which i dont recommend))
much of the comedy in these anime (kekkai, sekai, and hinamatsuri) are derived from this aspect, and a lot of the quality comes from the attachment to the characters, as well as the story. respectively, they range from more on "adventure
