Watching Black Bullet reminded me of 86 in the same way that it reminded some people of AOT. Both worlds are plagued by a virus in an apocalyptic world, where you have outcasts performing the role of fighting while being heavily discriminated against. No injured survivors can be left on the battlefield... Even your closest friend might turn into your enemy! (Not a spoiler btw) They live in a somewhat secluded world from the outside, safe from the no mans land inside the cities. Simply the pacing and over all world build felt like both creators took inspiration from the same source.
