Comedy, Love, a really really dense beloved one, it's got it all.
And it's mostly scened at high school too, with a group of friends.
Both anime are high school romance comedies with bickering/rivalring protagonists.
Both are romance and comedy. From time to time i noticed they had similar scenes.
Lovely Complex and Special A are similar in their plots. Special A has Competition in it and so does Lovely Complex (Notably during the earlier parts). Special A has an unrequited love which develops into a relationship and so does Lovely Complex. Special A has comedy than can match Lovely Complex
