* Both are fine example of Romantic -Comedies, where both balanced well.
* In Ore Monogatari we have Gouda Takeo ( lead male protagonist ) who is well-built similarly in Lovely Complex we have Koizumi Risa ( lead female protagonist ) who is exceptionally tall.
* The same physical difference pattern for Yamato Rinko ( lead female protagonist ) who is short and Ootani Atsushi who is also short.
* Comedy shines out in both the shows and the love gets serious in some parts leading with a heart-warming story.
Stories about unconventional love; where the main couple aren't some pristine models, but just regular people, and in some cases people you wouldn't assume to be in a couple.
Both portray couples who have over the physical differences, showing that the true ideal couple is not in appearance, but in love.

Hahaha first, let's get to the obvious, in both we have our troubled characters, in Lovely Complex we have a really high girl & short boy, in Ore Monogatari we have a really big guy & literally a loli girl... So, I noticed that in both these animes bodily flaws get praised, and even WITH these flaws, in both shows our protagonists manage to develop a romantic relationship, can seem delusional but it does happen even in real life... Both of these shows don't really have a clear purpose, or a 'mission', just everyday comfy life doing nothing, just fun activities with silly funny moments

Most romance anime within a modern high school setting tend to be pretty forgettable to me unless the pair in question happens to be out of the ordinary. Such is the case with both of these sweet romance stories about opposites attracting. Ore Monogatari!! follows Takeo Gōda, a muscular student who plays the knight in shinning armor for a short girl named Rinko Yamato while riding the bus. The romance happens almost immediately while Lovely Complex takes a slightly longer route with an equally unlikely couple. Risa Koizumi and Atsushi Ōtani are considered the ultimate comedic duo in their class due to their many 'lovers'
