These two anime have virtually nothing in common in terms of plot. However they both have similar fast paced and impressive action sequences without sacrificing a compelling and coherent plot. Both also have a-typical protagonist personalities.
I can't believe these haven't been Recommended more Darker Than Black feels to me like a cross between Shingeki no Kyojin and Baccano (Darker Than Black does share a staff member or two with both). Basic elements in Darker Than Black are also in SnK
