I think it would be fair to compare The God of High School with Naruto's Chunin Exams arc in many ways. Both anime focus on a competition between students, both have an initial focus on martial arts, which eventually paves the way for characters developing more supernatural powers, and both anime use mythology to derive their concepts from, with Naruto's Tailed Beasts being the most obvious similarity to GoHS's Charyeok system.
