Both are specials that takes characters from otherwise shounen anime and remakes them into chibi style. Both are mainly for comedy purpose. Both have similar animation and short episodes.
A comic version of two series of the action, doing things that we are not accustomed to see the characters that integrate them , also related to the main plot. They often parody cliches and various things from their original plot.

They are both chibi animations. And they are sure are hilarious and enjoyable even if you haven't watched an inkling of the main show. But if you have already, then the ridiculous plot-lines followed in the chibi versions are somehow well adjusted to draw out damn good laughs on part of the viewer who gets to experience a terrific side to the serious and happening story that they possibly could not think of while they were engrossed in the main storyline.
