Theses are romance shows that takes place in a hotel/ boarding house, that has a variety of unique characters. Love Hina despite it being a harem show, it focuses mainly on one main girl of that harrem as the main males love interest who is also a fellow student of his. They main romantic leads per-say happen to have several aspects in common such as they, bad temper and the tendency to smack people about.
When I watched this it gave me the same wholesome vibes, although less harem based the main character trying to get along with the main girl who seems to hate him. Good times.
