"Kill la Kill" and "Blood Blockade Battlefront" / "Kekkai Sensen" are series that revolve around very stylized action in an alternate modern world. The over-the-top nature in the artistically similar action sequences of these two shows make them stand out from many other series. The brooding colour palettes of both these shows also add to their seemingly ridiculousness.
