You cannot go wrong with this one. Both are the higher profile manga serialzed on Manga Time Kirara. The noteworthy selling point of every manga in this magazine is girls' love. If you can't go a day without non-explicit girl-to-girl cuddling then both are the right choice.
Plot is not non-existent, but sadly, there are quite a lot of anime out there which qualified more as mild sex-sale than 30 minutes of storytelling. It's possible to praise how good the story, jokes, puns, and conversation is, but at the end of the day many people watch this just for d'awww.
But that shouldn't let you down,

The slice of life formula fits with both Hidamari Sketch and Yuyushiki. In both series, there's a group of girls who are friends with a similar age range.
There's not much of a plot for both series but there are a lot of humorous dialogues, scenes, and interactions that depicts every day life events. Some of these events takes place at school while others takes place at home and the local community.
Both series has cute designs that makes up the characters along with great comedy.
