One involves a group of antagonists, while in the other anime there is only one main antagonist.
The main character in one anime has a childhood friend, while the other doesn't.
One anime was based on a card game while the other was based from a 1970's version.
One series takes place in a futuristic city. Deals with social media and aliens from another world. But the other series does not. The mech-like suit design is very similar for both series. Action packed too.

Both have the same art form in reference to the character's special suit mode and the same fighting style, except in one anime the group is up against one evil antagonist while in the other one were up against multiple opponents.
