I can't say if Claymore is like all of the 2011 version of Hunter x Hunter, since I have not completed Hunter x Hunter at the time of making this recommendation. However, revenge is a big aspect of both stories (it's the driving force for Clare, the main character of Claymore; it's also the driving force for Kurapika, who is one of the main characters of Hunter x Hunter).
