both about a girl discovering magical powers that she didnt know she had. theyre both comical and somewhat romantic as well.

Both revolve around a young girl that finds out that she can transform- in Shugo Chara!, the characters turn into their 'would be selves' while in Kamichama Karin, they turn into gods/ goddesses. Both series's have romance and a bit of action.

For starters, both series are animated by the same company, and therefore have a similar almost gothic feel to them (though Kamichama Karin is darker). Both shows are in the magical girl genre and revolve around young girls learning about themselves through the use of magic, plus there's some romance as well.
