If you give the girls in each series a lugubrious backstory and fetishize them completely and you have two very similar works. The narratives in each are somewhat action based, but ultimately neither feel too far away from being just another Elfen Lied clone ten years too late.
There are a lot of similarities between the two: a lot of girls with tragic backstories and overall tragedy, a male MC who's trying to help them, a bit of ecchi here and there, occasional fighting, overall edginess, and also some romance bits with some of the girls.
