Both series are in the comedic slice of life genre with just a tiny bit of romance sprinkled on top, carrying little to no drama elements at all. Both series also show the countryside of Japan in a very comforting way while simultaneously depicting the wholesome side of female friendships.
However, Skip and loafer is a little bit more on the realistic side, focusing a lot on teenage problems and feelings whereas Non Non Biyori’s characters are way more chaotic and all over the place - but I wholeheartedly recommend to watch both of them, especially when you’re feeling stressed or sad :>
