Both series focus on young girls living in the rural parts of Japan and enjoying their slow paced everyday lives; while NNB takes place in a 6 student school and gives equal attention to the adults of the community, Akebi-chan is set at a regular middle school and looks at all of the classmates of the main character's class.

-Both took place in a rather rural area, featuring a group of cute moe young girl leads in a school setting
-Both series pictured the main characters' ever so boring and extremely ordinary lives in a very entertaining and calming way
-In general both are really well done moe slice of life series
Non Non Biyori is one of my all time favorite, and I enjoyed Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku as well, so if you enjoyed NNB, it is very likely you will enjoy this too
