Both histories envelop a main hero who moves from his natal village to the big city and inadvertently becomes a part of a band of unconventional, bizarre and wild characters with great habilities. The nature of the teams are also similar.
The character developments are quite similar. In both series we have a faction of warriors with different skills who fight for the people and protect them, and the story begins with the foreign mc joining to this faction and acting like a newbie along the firsts episodes. Also, both animes play with very graphic blood scenes, and focus on the fights, ideals and fellowship.
