Based on the video games, the "Tales" series focuses on the main characters who are caught in a conflict between politics, war, and their close friends. As a result, they go in an adventure to either stop an antagonist from reaching it's goal, or preventing the upcoming war between nations.
The settings and characters are different, but they have the same content in it such as swords, magic, war, and politics. Symphonia, is an OVA series and focus on the main characters stopping from the bad guy's goals and rescuing a friend. Vesperia is a prequel movie, follows the main characters who are knights before.
