Both are short anime about the life story of a girl trying to live on her own, told through the perspective of her cat.
Both feature heartwarming stories that are narrated by old cats living alone with a girl. The girls in both anime have trouble with life and are distanced from their family. It is the cat that brings the family together. Makoto Shinkai is involved with both works.
Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko and dareka no Manazashi are both very similar in tone and atmosphere, cool tones and a sad underlying feeling with a heartwarming ending. The main character in each series are very similar, young female aduts living on their own gaining independence from their parents. In these two series they also have a large focus around their cat and family. If you enjoyed one you will be pleased with the other for another emotional ride.

They are very, very similar together and both very heart warming.
Special ones, including pets. She and Her Cat: Everything Flows and Someone's Gaze are both anime featuring family bonds as far down as being between humans and pets. Both anime having pets being with a cat.
Both are good short anime, made by the same director Makoto Shinkai.
