In both Anime, the characters who are mostly children get involved in some kind of game without knowing the serious consequences, and in both shows the kids are not necessarily friends or don't become ones (which makes them different from MadoMagi & YuYuYu and others)
Bokurano and Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku both series have these similarities:
- The protagonists are participate in a game where they acquire an unimaginable power (in Bokurano, control a wick and in MS Ikaku be mahou shoujo), which becomes a deadly game, where everyone could die. Of this game you can not leave, being these forced to participate in this game.
- They are forced to perform "good" tasks for humanity, but likewise they can be condemned to die.
- A doll, which caused such a game, is the one that explains the rules and helps them to fulfill their purpose.
