They're both about girls with social anxiety. But they're pretty much the opposite of each other in pretty much every other way.

The tension, the awkwardness, the "leav muh a lonee". All real feelings two socially inept individuals must face, well, partly true. Despite all the detriments these two girls face, they want nothing more than just friends and people to get along with. The Madonna here, Komi, present in Komi Can't Communicate, finds herself in a silly situation of being top 1 in the class for misunderstood reasons are based on misunderstandings. School life of extremely anxious people (both females). Watamote's more focused on opposite-sex relationships but Komi's not so persistent about the gender yet (first sesson). If you've enjoyed one of them, you'll enjoy the other too :)

both have no friends in the beginning but the difference is that Kuroki is not beautiful and his character is not good

both series have a female lead with extreme social anxiety who have a desire to have a lot of friends despite that, plus both series are comedies ( although with a pretty diferent type of humor ) that do have its sadder moments
