Tokyo Ravens and Noragami come with the package of dealing with spiritual beings with magic/abilities. The main male protagonist often comes in contact with these beings in their perspective worlds.
Both series' main male protagonist has a past that is explored throughout their stories. Through them, certain plot elements are unraveled that ties together with its themes.
Both series also takes place in a school life setting.. Tokyo Ravens has more romance while Noragami presents excellent comedy with its humorous dialogues and character interactions.
Both of these series contain exorcism of spirits/phantoms. Both of them contain priestesses in miko outfits. Some religious influences are also present such as poetic mantras for exorcism of the spirits/phantoms.
The main character is also contracted to help the other main character. In Noragami, Yukine, being a dead wandering spirit, is contracted to be a shinki and help Yato by serving him and make him a better God. In Tokyo Ravens, Harutora is contracted to be a shikigami of his childhood friend, Natsume, and help her achieve her goal of becoming a professional Onmyouji.
